Beschreibung: Tetracyclin-Hydrochlorid (HCl) ist ein Antibiotikum, das die Proteinsynthese durch Bindung an die 30S-ribosomale Untereinheit hemmt und die Wechselwirkungen bei der Akzeptorstelle auf dem RNA-Ribosom-Komplex blockiert. Das Kongener Tetracyclin wird semi-synthetisch aus Chlortetracyclin hergestellt, einem Produkt von Staphylococcus aureofaciens. Resistenz wird durch das TetR-TN10-Genprodukt vermittelt, das die Zellwandpermeabilität blockiert. Tetracyclin-HCl ist wirksam gegen Gram-positive und Gram-negative Bakterien und wird in Pulverform angeboten.
