Primary Human Retinal Pericyte Cells
Zellen
Our primary human cells offer unmatched consistency and a more biologically relevant tool than other cell types. Our cells are antibody-free and come from a deep inventory to help researchers with reproducibility and improved human insights.

  • Highly proliferative and healthy (~85% viability)
  • Antibody free and more biologically relevant
  • Offered with high cell count (~1 million cells per vial)
  • Well-cited in scientific journals
  • Ideal for 2D and 3D cultures, microfluidic devices and co-cultures

Primary Human Retinal Pericyte Cells (ACBRI183) were initiated by elutriation following dispersal of normal retinal tissue with collagenase and dispase. This cell is antibody free. Each vial will initiate a 25 to 75 cm² cell culture. These primary cells are isolated, frozen and qualified using Cell Systems Certified Media and Reagents--which are specified for use in the research environment. Cell Systems primary cells are exclusively from normal, site-specific human tissue specimen, and available in frozen vial or proliferating flask.

These cells were originated using Cell Systems Complete Serum-Free Medium (SF-4Z0-500), and subsequently grown and passaged in Cell Systems Complete Medium (4Z0-500). They are available at Passage 3 (<12 cumulative population doublings) cryopreserved in Cell Systems Cell Freezing Medium™ (4Z0-705). This vial will initiate a Passage 4 cell culture in a 75 cm² flask. Each vial contains more than 1×106 cells.

Each vial of cells is shipped with vials of Bac-Off® (antibiotic) and CultureBoost™ (animal derived growth factors) or CultureBoost-R™ (human recombinant growth factors) at no additional cost.
