Human mononuclear cells from mobilised peripheral blood
Lieferant: Charles River Laboratories Cell Solutions
The mononuclear cell is a widely used product in research and clinical applications such as in microbiology, virology, oncology, vaccine development, transplant and regenerative biology, and toxicology.
- Tested negative for Hepatitis B, C, HIV, HTLV, HCV/HBV, WNV, Trypanasoma cruzi, and Syphilis
- Cryopreserved in CryoStor® CS10 media
Human mobilised peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs) are collected from healthy human volunteer donors under IRB approved informed consent by leukapheresis using the COBE® Spectra Apheresis System MNC collection protocol. Donors are injected with G-CSF (Neupogen® - FDA approved), which stimulates the bone marrow to produce a large number of hematopoietic and progenitor stem cells and mobilises them into the peripheral blood stream. This mononuclear cell-rich leukapheresis product is extracted using continuous flow centrifugal technology directly into the collection bag. Mobilised mononuclear cells are purified using density gradient centrifugation techniques.
Storage: Either prepare cells for long term storage in liquid nitrogen vapour phase or thaw for use. Storage in liquid phase nitrogen is NOT recommended. Short term storage of cells (less than 2 weeks) at –80 °C is acceptable, but should be minimised to ensure maximum stability. Once thawed, samples must be used immediately.
