Capreomycin is a cyclic peptide antibiotic that is often grouped with aminoglycosides.
Capreomycin is a second line antibiotic and is used to study multidrug-resistant tuberculosis. Capreomycin sulphate is used to study bacterial ribosomal subunit interactions and translocation processes during protein synthesis.

Soluble in water (50 mg/ml - clear to slightly hazy, colourless to faint yellow solution).
